These Terms of Service ("Terms") apply to all services provided by Yamashin Research Lab ("we", "our"), including the website, Yamashin App, Chrome extension, and related services ("Services").
By using the Services, you agree to be bound by these Terms.
2. Service Description
We provide the following services:
- Access to learning content (textbooks and vocabulary)
- Text-to-speech (TTS) audio playback of learning content
- Web page scraping and storage via Chrome extension
- Yamashin App (mobile application)
3. Account Registration
Account registration is required to use certain services. Please provide accurate information during registration.
You are responsible for managing your account information. Please contact us immediately if any unauthorized use occurs.
4. Fees and Payment
The Services include a free plan (Basic) and a paid plan (Membership).
- Membership: $5/month (credit card payment)
- TTS pay-as-you-go: $0.02 per 1000 characters (deposit-based)
- Deposit: Flexible amount between $5 and $1,000
Subscriptions can be changed or canceled at any time. After cancellation, you can continue using the service until the end of the current billing period.
5. Prohibited Actions
The following actions are prohibited:
- Actions that violate laws or public order and morals
- Actions that infringe on the rights of us or third parties
- Unauthorized access or interference with the Services
- Actions that cause inconvenience to other users
- Decompiling or reverse engineering the Services
- Unauthorized reproduction or commercial use of content
6. Intellectual Property
All intellectual property rights in the Services (including text, images, audio, and software) belong to us or the rightful owners.
Users may use the content only for personal use.
7. Data Handling
Scraped data is stored for 1 year from the last update. Data past the retention period will be automatically deleted.
Deposit balances do not expire.
8. Service Changes, Suspension, and Termination
We may change, suspend, or terminate the Services without prior notice.
Upon service termination, unused deposit balances will be eligible for refund.
9. Disclaimer
The Services are provided "as is" and we make no warranties, express or implied.
We shall not be liable for any damages arising from the use of the Services to the maximum extent permitted by law.
10. Changes to Terms
We may revise these Terms as necessary. We will notify you of significant changes via the website or email.
11. Governing Law and Jurisdiction
These Terms are governed by Japanese law. Any disputes regarding the Services shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Tsu District Court as the court of first instance.
